Elemental Equine- Fire

Well here's a little something different from me.
With all the elemental art that I have been seeing here, I thought it would be fun to do an "elemental equine" image, so here is fire. 

I sort of figured out a new way to paint- similar to that of toll painting, but digitally with multiple shades and colors per brush stroke, plus my handy dandy smudgy tool to make it all look somewhat flowy. I am still trying to figure out how to do convincing fire and smoke, but I am surprisingly pleased with how this came out, considering most of it was accidental as I experimented. (I was originally going to do a whole horse, but the sketch of the back end was terribly out of proportion, so I just got rid of it all together...) I like it better now.
